Now here's a topic I've been longed interested in. This doesn't surprise many people, considering the ouija board under my bed and the stocks of tarot cards on my desk. But there's something alluring about the extravagance and excitement of the early days of occult research. Spooky? Yes. A fraud? Sometimes. But it was certainly an encompassing thing.
Photographs, for instance, were considered to the be tool of science and could tell no lie. This thought process held tight to the public for some time.
But seance parties, ghost hunts and stories also saw a huge rise in popularity too.
Have to say, I'm tempted to play around a little with the craze.
